New kitchen flooring question.....

So....hopefully we get the house of my dreams....(well not quite, but it will do for now ;)) Anyway- said house needs new flooring in the kitchen/diner before we move in. BUT can't afford the new kitchen units etc yet... Is it relatively easy to put new flooring in all the way behind existing units? Or should we wait and do the whole thing all in one go? Check if the existing units are standard sizes. If they are, it should be ok just to floor up to the units, or just past the kickboards if possible.

TBH though, I'd grin and bear the old floor and wait until it can all be done at once.
Then the job will be easier, quicker and they floor won't dictate what units you go for. You may change your mind about the kitchen layout etc.

Maybe you can put cheap vinyl flooring for the time being?

By the way, my kitchen units are still OK, and I am planning to get new flooring soon, so I am planning to lift the standing units, replace the whole floor properly, put kitchen units back, replace worktops, replace splashback tiles, and the kitchen will be as new :) hopefully :)
