DIY question regarding grout from an non DIYer

Sorry if this is obvious but... There is nothing wrong with my bathroom tiles, but the grout is getting icky (going orange strangely!). Can grout be replaced? How do you remove old grout? Will the tiles fall down if I attempt it?

Thank you!

If it's going orange a good scrub with Dettol mould remover should get rid of it. Failing that, you can wash it and re-grout.

When you say re-grout, do you mean over the top of the existing grout. I'll try Dettol mould remover, bleach didn't really improve it but I'll give Dettol a go. Thank you.

Viakal is good for this too.Otherwise scrape old grout and re do.If you just go over the top without gouging some out it doesn't really give a good finish

grouting is fun! get a grouting scraping tool thing then you just rub new grout all over - makes such a huge difference. i've done kitchen and bathroom and they look new.
it's very easy

Thank you all... I think it would look really good, because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the tiles, they're very nice... The grout is just making the bathroom look tired and a bit dingy! I will venture to BandQ this weekend and ask for a grout scraper thingy! :)

Try cleaning them first, you can get a proper grout cleaner from some of teh DIY stores, it is quite expensive but worth it. You can also get grout pens, where you effectively paint over the grout, but not the tiles.

Scraping grout out can be easy, but it can also be a nightmare and you may end up damaging you tiles. Try a small out of the way corner first to see how easily the grout comes away.
