Cornforth White (F&B) - anyone?

I've used the tester pot and it's a very beigey grey. Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm after a crisp grey that's not too dark and this would have been perfect, but appears rather beige on my walls.

Yes, it is very beige. When you say 'crisp': how light do you want? How cool? I have used two F&B pale greys: Blackened, which comes out a very cool pale grey, almost blue in some lights; and Strong White, which is very soft and only shows as grey if contrasted against true white.

I haven't used them, but the Little Greene paint company has some nice greys.

The paintwork will be white, so I want the grey to stand out and not be wishy-washy.

Think I'll buy this tester pot - Homebase in Silver Mist

I just hope it doesn't go lilac, which is what I'm finding with lots of greys.

I patch-tested silver mist, think it was very cool grey, but don't remember any lilac tones.

If, in your testing, you come across any mid-greys that would look good against a pale putty colour, let me know Smile

Thanks Hester - Dove Grey may suit your needs?

Ooh yes, it may indeed. Thanks - I'll be off for my tester pot in the morning Smile
