Have recently moved and painting a back bedroom. House is mid terrace but this bedroom is out the back (house is L shaped IYKWIM) so has two external walls
Put on two coats yesterday and noticed the far corner (where the two external walls meet) was looking a bit patchy.
Went in this morning to give it another coat and it is still wet in that corner. There are small patches where moisture has trickled down through the paint.
The room had no signs of damp & was not recently redecorated to cover up problems. I've had a look outside and that corner does have a gutter meeting a downpipe on it. No obvious signs of water / algae etc streaking the brickwork though.
I shut the window and heating went off overnight - is there any possibility that this is condensation as a result? I'm guessing it probably is the coldest point in the room as the window is newish double glazed UVPC unit.
I have someone coming on Monday to have a look at the gutter. What should I do in the meantime? Wipe off the watery paint? Get a hairdryer going on it? I was hoping that the room would be habitable by tomorrow!
