Those opaque things you put on windows

Where do you get them?

My husband thinks it's fine that everyone who walks past our house can see in, but I find it a bit annoying. Don't really want to faff around with nets so thought I might use some of those stickers.

I got some privacy film from B&Q - works ok although you can't see out either!

There is a product called Brume which you can get made to measure online looks better although a bit pricier.

There are some nice net curtains around and some interesting looking curtain screens in Ikea. We have a major privacy problem with the house behind us so am still trying to work out the best solution!

Ah - window film! I can google now I have the correct terminology - thanks. Brume looks nice but not sure about spending that much on it as we have lots of little windows that need doing.

Window film can make your room feel a bit claustraphobic though.
I also think it looks a bit bathroom-y.
COuld you have wooden venetians instead? Or a sheer blind like this

I haven't used it on a lounge window but I have used frosted film on bathroom windows even though they were obscured glass.

We have always used www.abodewindowfilms.co.uk and I buy it on a roll.

We have the opaque film which is their most popular but they do sell ones that are mirrored for the outside but you can still see out. The only thing to remember is when you put the light on inside everyone can see in Grin

Thanks - I'm going to order a little bit and see how we go.

Neither of us are very handy and have just gone through the trauma of putting up a bay window curtain rail and can't face the thought of blinds. We're a bit higher than the road so will only have to do about a third of the window, so hopefully won't be too claustrophobic. Thanks for the advice everyone.
