We had a new kitchen put in just over 2 years ago. There were a few things we were unhappy with and luckily our builder put them right as the kitchen company couldn't help (for example, the lights they used were white plastic, horrible and cheap looking. We weren't told about the lights at the outset and our builder changed them for smart metal ones). There's also a piece of trim that we are still waiting for 2 years on. All in all, we weren't too happy with the after sale service.
The main problem now is our builder has realised that one of the larder doors has been hung upside down so the grain of the wood doesn't match up with the other doors. Kitchen company say it should have been noticed earlier on and they would have replaced it. They say that 2 years on we can't have a new door without paying for it.
Our builder thinks this is v bad service - it's not down to wear and tear, the door was hung wrong at the outset. And it's not our fault it wasn't noticed earlier - we're not kitchen experts. Now it's been pointed out to me, it looks really wrong. We paid a lot of money for the kitchen, why should it not be perfect?
What do you think?
