I'm getting a bit desparate now as we have to decide paint colour(s) for pretty much most of house because the decorators are starting on Monday. As ever I have turned to MN for some help.

My dilemma is that I want a warm, light neutral colour for the whole of our house including sitting room, kitchen/diner, bedrooms, bathrooms, hall and landing. I thought we had it sorted as we had decided on subtle ivory 3 (a dulux) for the entire house. However having had the kitchen painted last week I decided it looked a bit too green in indirect light (ie not directly by the lights).

So the decorators suggested white tie (F &B), it looks fine most of the rooms (well just the tester areas) except the kitchen where it looks too creamy and possibly too similar to our windows (which are F & B new white). Now I'm a bit Confused

I am now considering F&B wimborne white and dimity as alternatives to white tie.

I've slightly given up with looking at Dulux paints because there's too much choice and I need to narrow it down. Anyway has anyone used these paints? Do you like them and are they warm colours without being too rich.
Or am I am over worrying and in fact when the whole room is painted in white tie it won't be so creamy?

As I have learnt, paints look very different once an entire room is done so it's quite hard to judge based on a tester area.

Right, if you've managed to get to this point thank you for bearing with me Smile. Please offer me your suggestions or advice. (will be back later today in case I need to rush to the shops to buy even more tester points Confused

I used Dimity on my spare room - looks like lining paper. My favourite which I have used alot is Pointing. James White is also lovely, a touch more green, though. If in doubt, I'd use Pointing.

I like slipper satin. I've used white tie only on ceilings I think. Phone F&B or look on their website to suggest contrasting colours to new white? I've found them very helpful on the phone in the past.

fyi we've got clunch which is quite creamy in some lights.

I just looked at their website, it's pretty helpful. I might try giving them a call tomorrow too. Thanks for that Fiddledee.
