Yes I have.
It's very effective.
It can be quite tricky to put on, definitely a two person job but the end result is very good.

Yes, was excellent, very easy (smallish window)

hobbgoblin · 09/11/2010 13:07

I have used it too. Easier on small panes but is quite fiddly to ensure no air bubbles. It looks like the real deal once applied though.

Don't EVER be tempted to use the same thing in a can - that etchy spray stuff.yikes!

Use good quality stuff, purlfrost is the brand name of the product we used in our living room about £20 a roll from memory. We used cheap ikea £2 a roll stuff and it was terrible.

I used the IKEA one on our old kitchen window - did it on my own, had no problems and it looked fine Smile

I have a spare roll. Roll and a half, in fact, I think. I am happy to post so it doesn't go to waste. ReadyRoll brand.

It does have to be applied perfectly, and to an absolutely perfectly clean pane of glass. (I didn't the first time 'round and it stuck for quite a long time, but it couldn't cope with strong direct sunlight)

Let me know.

You can get it made to measure on the internet - Brume I think it is called?

We got some Coverlon stuff on a roll from B&Q - is fine and does the job. It is hard to apply I agree and I haven't done a perfect job although I'm hoping only temporary and we won't need it on our windows forever!
