Why would the price a house sold for NOT be on the land registry website?

Pure nosiness but a house I was interested in buying on my road was sold in late spring. Although subsequent sales in the area are up on the website, this one is not. Why would that be?

LOTS and LOTS of house sales - especially those at lower than main market value
will never appear on the Land Registry data or on Zoopla
see the list of exclusions here

www.landregistry.gov.uk/professional/market-trend-data/house-price-data-exclusions

in some areas, the average sale price may well be significantly below what the data pretends to show

Ours is on the website, at the correct price paid, but it was three years ago.

Had a chuckle at how much my snooty neighbours overpaid for their house at the peak of the market! Cheered me up no end.....
