Parquet Flooring - Just bought some

I've just bought some reclaimed parquet flooring to match some we already have at home. I've purchased 30 m2 to go in a new kitchen, how much storage room do you think it will take up? Will it fit in a Ford Galaxy, need to collect it asap?

bit of a daft question I think to be honest. Do you know what length the boards are? if they are 10 or 12 foot boards they are unlikely to fit in your car.

If you have a roof rack then it might go on depending on the thickness (weight) of the boards.

If the boards are 8" wide and 10' long then you will have 50 boards

Not that daft. They are wooden blocks about the size of a your hand (well mine they are quite big). Am having trouble envisaging how many blocks, wondered if there was a mn flooring expert on hand Grin

assumed it was board type flooring which is more common these days. It is still hard to say if you don't know the measurements as they do vary but you should work on 60 per sqm

Surely you would just multiply the square meterage by the height of each block to work out how many cubic metres you have.

So if they were 10cm thick I would just times 30 x 0.1 = 3m cubed.

However, don't be fooled - a cubic meter is a big square.

Unless I'm being a bit thick!!

quite right but OP doesn't know any dimensions!

Consider the weight as much as the size. Parquet flooring can be fairly heavy and 30msq is a lot of blocks!

Thank you for all your help, have worked it out now. Its 17 boxes Grin
