I'm looking in north and east London and get Rightmove, Find a Property and Prime Location. Am I missing anything?

Prime Location is my main one with occasional searching on UpMyStreet

Good Luck :)

And if you decide you want a 4-bed house in SW London give me a shout as we're on the market...!

I always assumed, (but never checked it out though,) they would have the same properties on them. Is that not the case?

minipie · 27/09/2010 17:57

I subscribe to those you listed and also Globrix.

cat different estate agents are signed up to different portal sites so there can be some variation. The bigger agents are generally signed up to them all but the smaller ones may just pick one or two sites.

I shall immediately share with DH.... Smile

in the areas i'm looking most estate agents are on all of them and i find rightmove the most user friendly but the odd one crops up on prime location or findaproperty that's not on rightmove. I always search in a 6 mile circle and there are loads of areas outside the ones i'm watching that don't seem to be covered on rightmove...

will add globrix.

anyone experience of any auction websites?

what the schools like near you knitter? not sure i have a passport to south london though Wink

I've been using mouseprice (as well as Rightmove) but I'm not convinced it's kept up to date

KnitterNotTwitter · 28/09/2010 16:07

Primary school is fantastic (Sheringdale Primary if you're interested) - haven't had to check out the secondary schools yet (DS is only 2!!) however having walked past the nearest one at the end of the school day it seems to be an outpost of some very rough US ghetto...all wannabe rappers and gangstas :(

soniaweir · 28/09/2010 20:51

use globrix, it's great and up to date. mouse price is up to date in certain areas. in our area is already has our house sale recorded from end of June. it gives a good indication of house prices in the street. i think we have overpaid :(

scurryfunge · 28/09/2010 20:52

zoopla is another good site for previously sold prices.

alittleteapot · 28/09/2010 22:50

just been browsing on globrix. some agents seem to have stuff on there that they don't have on rightmove. strange. maybe they have different strategies/marketing budgets for different properties.
