We are having our family bathroom done and have chosen cream travertine effect (ceramic) tiles. The walls will be fully tiled, and we were planning to have the same tiles on the floor. It is a small room so we are trying to make it look larger...
Now the tiles are going up on the walls they look lovely, but I'm having last minute doubts about the floor. I wonder if it will look clinical to have the same tiles on five surfaces of the room? We are having a walnut bath panel and cabinet to break things up a bit...
I am also having doubts about tiles in general in a family bathroom - and the expense of installing and running underfloor heating (would we really need this?).
I was looking at eco-friendly alternatives and wondered if cork might be a good option? Any advice would be much appreciated.
