Perfect house for mum and dad?

I think this is just about perfect.

For elderly couple (mum and dad) who will be moving from 5 bed house with mahoosive garden in the middle of nowhere that needs a car. This village has a small shop and PO and easy bus routes to town.

And more importantly is about a mile from me Smile

Waddya think? Bearing in mind that the last place I posted here was universally panned as being hideous Grin

That looks fine. Much better than the bus shelter des res you posted last time Orm.

How did the move go?

Now Ormy - i tend to find myself agreeing with you on most threads, however....

It looks like an old persons bungalow...how 'old' are they physically and mentally.

My mum and dad are in their mid 60s and would brain me if i suggested something like that for them

PortBlacksand · 17/09/2010 16:53

Oooh me wanna see bus shelter.....

OrmRenewed · 17/09/2010 16:55

Bus shelter! BUS shelter Angry

Not my problem no-one appreciated avantgarde 70s architecture

Well at least you like this one. It doesn't seem such a bit step from their beautiful garden and idyllic location. Lots of nice country walks out the back and access to shops and me out the front!

They are 79 and beginning to get frail sadly. Their current home has a 3 acre garden and is on a hill.

The garden looks well kept, but rather small and dull.

Winter might not be the time to persuade two garden-lovers to move, don't you think? Everything's going to look at its worst.

OrmRenewed · 17/09/2010 16:58

Not to a gardener I don't think. They see potential whilst the non-green-fingered of us just see dead plants and mud Grin

Ah, well in that set of circumstances yes, it look much more practical. Hmm Grendel you may have a point....wait until you have three foot of snow and play the 'convenience' card??

lal123 · 17/09/2010 17:02

No pic of kitchen or bathroom would worry me

GrendelsMum · 17/09/2010 18:07

I speak as a gardener Wink
