Garden building

Hi Everyone!

My husband works from home (or tries too :P) so we have decided to add onto our property for a private office. We kind of had this idea to put a garden building in the garden for him. The website sounds promising--no heating costs necessary, low mainentance, no planning permission, etc. But I really don't know of anyone else that has one for this purpose and was wondering if this is a good idea or not? Thanks for your help!

I know someone who has a SIPS house and it doesn't require heating (although they did have it installed). I also know people who have garden rooms that they use for studios/offices and they work really well. I don't know anyone who has used this specfic company though. What are the costs

In a previous house we had a garden office. Tbh the advantages and disadvantages were only the obvious ones - going back and forth to the house in the rain with coffee, papers etc, not being able to leave ds1 (then 3) playing and pop into the office for a minute, not hearing the doorbell (that falls into both categories), peace and quiet, better outlook...

If it works for the way your life is organised I think it's a good idea. Just make sure you get one that you can keep warm and dry in winter - find a firm from Finland or somewhere that sells them in kits!
