Does anyone have a Euroheat/Stanford stove?

We need to get a multi-fuel burner with a small 5" flue opening and there is very limited choice - most stoves have a 6" flue opening.
Does anyoen have a Stanford and if so would you recommend it?
TIA

I think we might have had that in our last house - if it's the one we had, it was very good indeed.

Does this look like the one GrendelsMum?

Yes, it looks like that. Is it rather pricey? If so, we went to the shop after intensive research to buy a good-value Hunter Herald and DH fell in love with the Euroheat Stanford on display and insisted we paid three or four times as much as we'd planned.

In fact, he liked it so much that we took it with us when we moved.

It was very efficient, heated an open space well, didn't suffer from rust which apparently can be a problem with cheaper stoves, etc. It takes a while to learn to use it most effectively, though.

Yes I think it is quite pricey though has been hard to find prices for it, not many stockists on internet or in RL, not sure why!

The other option is a Morso, they are cheaper but the models we can choose from look a bit too small for the room where it will be.

DO you remember where you bought it from?

Hello - I just checked, and we have a Stanford 13.

We saw ours on display at a shop which had just stopped selling stoves and wouldn't order in a last one for us, so we then had to order it from somewhere not particularly near Cambridge, which was rather annoying. However, they delivered it directly to us.

We bought our next stove from Colne Stoves in Suffolk / Essex - not a Euroheat, as we were very limited by an awkwardly shaped fireplace. Not very near you, but you could try and make a bit of a day out for the boys? Colne Stoves were very good about taking the time to go over our awkward requirements.

Thanks for checking and for the details.

Will see if I can find a local stockist, I dont fancy hiking anywhere with the boys, they are dreadful on car journeys at the mo...
