Skirting Board Radiators

Has anyone put these in, or have any experience of them? DH hates radiators and as we renovate room by room I thought this might be a good alternative, but I'm worried it won't provide enough heat. Also wondering how easy it is to find someone to fit it....

no idea about skirting ones.

have you thought about tall narrow ones? they can go behind doors if you want.

were the skirting board ones the ones on Dragons den?

Yes, Meglet, the ones I'm really interested in were the ones on the Dragon's Den (although there are others out there). They do a good pitch on their website and I can't find any negative comments about their heat production, but also I can't find anyone with first hand experience.

ChasingSquirrels, the tall narrow ones are an option, but would prefer the skirting board ones if they are viable. We have also looked at under floor heating, but as our house is old it doesn't look like an option for us.

Watching as I'm interested in this too.

I can't lay my hand on it at the moment (have builders in so my house is in chaos) but I am sure it is in this month's Housebuilding and Renovation Magazine. They have a guide to radiators and then answer the question about skirting board heating.

Think they said that you have to make sure you have enough skirting board to match the BTU's from a radiator, also if you put furniture in front of them it reduces their effectiveness.

I put a tall narrow radiator in my kitchen a few houses ago to allow more cupboards. Loved it. Will be doing it again here as my sofa covers the radiator completely.
