M&S Furniture?

What's the quality like on M&S furniture? Specifically bedroom/nursery stuff. I'm after a Tallboy for DD's room, and M&S have the best selection I've come across... They range from 300-500 (can't find the pound sign on my laptop Blush) so I'd be expecting reasonable build quality. Anyone have any experience?

We've had sofas and book case from them and its all good quality.

I bought a sofa, wardrobe, bedside tables, headboard and hideaway bed from M&S in 1994 - all still going strong and look as good as new. Smile

Fabulous news. Think I'll be spending some money tomorrow, if I can just decide which one to go for Smile.

Thank you

Their delivery service is great - we just bought DD2 the Sleep Station bed from the value range - it's absolutely what we wanted, quality OK and they came and assembled it - they were here nearly 2 hours as it is a bed, bookcase, desk and drawers. They called the day before to confirm the 4 hour time slot, too. (Only disappointment was that none of their cheaper single mattresses were going to be in stock until October so we bought one elsewhere)

Dreadful - sorry - the bed we bought from them was shoddily made and wobbly. Trouble is if you're unhappy with the quality of their furniture M&S will only refund you if there's a technical fault with it. We lost £1200 on that bed Shock. Beware.

Thanks Bolter...Haven't parted with any cash yet...Have decided to go back and have a look at them again at the weekend with DH.

In the meantime, if anyone can recommend anywhere else to buy a nice Tallboy (either in white, or Oak) please let me know Smile) or a single wardrobe with shelves & drawers.

I have always been happy with M&S & am actually having a sofa for the conservatory delivered this weekend.

You could also have a look at Mamas & Papas as they do some nice nursery/bedroom furniture.

Thanks LovingTS - I looked at Mamas&Papas, and did like a few things, but I refuse to pay an additional 40 quid for delivery!

I think M&S is probably the way to go...
