Can anyone recommend me a shower (for use with combi boiler)?

Plumber is being super-efficient so we need to get a new shower sharpish. He is fitting a new combi-boiler, so water pressure will presumably be good. Electricians advised against an electric shower (not sure why) and suggested mixer taps with shower attached to wall but (1) I have only had crap shower experiences with this (2) I don't think it looks nice Blush and (3) I already have taps and they don't have a shower bit.

Would love a nice hard shower, don't mind paying a bit because we've scrimped everywhere else and I'm a shower fiend, but the various options are baffling me at the moment. Please tell me what to do!

Oh, it's to go over the bath btw, can't be faffed with/fit in a separate shower.

Thanks! :)

I I have read somewhere before that combi boiler does the part of what electric shower does, i.e. balances water pressure. That is why electric showers are not needed with combi. Sorry don?t know what do advise about the shower that is separated from taps!

We've got a digital one with a combi. Bit like this (the second one down).

Even with our lowish water pressure its still fantastic. We had a mixer tap one before which was just rubbish.

Ahem, hello again. In my parallel, bathroom-renovating, world I have just ordered this one to go with our brand new combi:

Heartily recommended by our much trusted supplier. He's not fitting it for us, but he does do fitting and he endorsed it partly on its track record. He advised against the Mira one we had been going to have because he said they had had a few go wrong and the after-sales service was rubbish.

It might not be fancy enough for you though, from what you say.

We have a combi boiler with great pressure - we have a thermostatic shower which is great - loses a small amount of pressure if someone flushes the loo but temp stays the same :)

We have two mira ones with a combi. The temperature hold is very good - they don't heat up when someone puts a tap on.

Def go with thermostatic valve

Many thanks for the replies (and at Heartsease!).

The Aqualisa looks good, digital probably slightly out of our price range, plus must admit I am baffled by the idea of a remote controlled shower Blush
