Curved kitchens -- practical? expensive?

I like the look of curved kitchens -- where do you get them from (cheaply?) ...are they practical?

I liked the curved cupboards too. But ended up not getting them. They add a considerable amount to the costs and they seem a bit awkward and small for storage purposes. So in the end I decided against them.

Wickes (retail) and Benchmarx (trade) do them. I also liked them after seeing a friend's but decided against them when she admitted that they were pretty useless, as you couldn't put very much in them!

As a rule of thumb, I was told by one kitchen firm to triple the cost of a cupboard to make the same size unit curved - we decided against any on that basis!

Poo...OK could I achieve a similar effect with a curved worktop...mabe just on island?...does any one know how much moben cost have seen their curvedd kitchen on line but they do not quote prices......looks like you need to endure the 2hr sale pitch before you get any info?

You could cost out a Wickes one from their website as they publish prices....

i bought a ex-display curved kitchen from ebay. i love it love it love it! had initially ruled it out due to expense but this one came up for auction and fitted our budget. cupboards are practical and just as spacious imo.

only thing to bear in mind is it costs a lot to start getting curves cut in worktops. you can't really get away with laminate/veneer ones so it has to be a solid one which also puts up the cost - ours ended up costing the same as the kitchen!
