Hiya we did'nt have the money for a mini micro scooter for DS so we bought an Ozbozz My first scooter for our 3YO's birthday and it's fab!!!

I'd say it would be suitable upto about 4 and a halfish.

You can have it with 4 wheels/3 wheels or 2 wheels so is great for kids becoming more confident!

And it's only £20 on Amazon.

Ah thanks I shall google!

The ozbozz one is even cheaper in tesco

Have you looked on ebay? I know some go for as much as the new ones but I managed to get a BIN for £28 for DS2 and it is in even better condition than DS1's.

Not so much of a bargain because I decided to order a green replacement board for it so the boys didn't get their scooters mixed up

You can't compare the Mini Micro really as has that fabby steering on it.

I looked everywhere to try and find a mini micro scooter for less than the £45 they were asking for at the local toy shop, but failed (well, did see one for £42, but p&p was £7).

Tried ebay, but again with p&p it was about £40 for a second hand one. Seemed very expensive for second hand!

In the end I gave up and bought a mini micro. Expensive, but DD loves it and plays with it pretty much every day. As washersaurus says, the steering is brilliant.

I was very very lucky to find my bargain it was £28 including postage!

I like that you can order all the replacement bits if necessary as well - it is just a really good quality product and worth the extra cash IMO (esp as you can resell for so much )

I bought mine on Jojomamanbebe website and then used a 15% off code so it was £37 with free postage.

cazfinch · 27/11/2009 20:07

Go to jo jo maman bebe and at the checkout use the code MTH92 at the checkout and you get it for £39.10 inc free delivery by DHL.

It may be expensive but I really don't think you'll regret it. We bought dd hers for her 3rd b'day in Sept and she's used it about every day since. She can fly on it, goes faster than her db(6) can on his and it's so so much quieter! V light too so I can pop it into 2 pieces and stick under the buggy. I really, really love it!

(my only issue is that my crazy 17month old can do it too so at this rate I'll have to buy a 2nd!)

littlestar · 27/11/2009 21:11

I have to agree, they are pricey but worth every penny. I also baulked at the cost (we got ours from John Lewis, with free delivery) but DS has used it every day for the past 18 months and will soon be passing it onto DD. I can't imagine how we'd get around without it!

shopalot · 27/11/2009 21:31

We got ours from jojomamanbebe and the other from blooming marvellous and used codes to get money off. Definitely worth the money.

carrielou2007 · 27/11/2009 21:45

I'm after one of these to encourage dd who loves to walk but is not quick when she starts playgroup in a few weeks. Looking at John Lewis, found some on ebay called Iscoot - 34.99 is this the same thing or different

FanjolinaJolie · 29/11/2009 19:02

Got one two weeks ago from Jojo with a 15% off code it was £39.10 delivered that was the best price I'd seen anywhere. HTH
