Has anyone else actually won the £2,000 jackpot Sprive prize?

Bit of a random first post, but this has been bugging me!

My partner and I are trying for a family at the moment, so I’ve become slightly obsessed with finding ways to chip away at our mortgage before that happens.

I’d only been using Sprive for a couple of months when I somehow won their £2,000 prize draw. It was paid straight to my mortgage lender and should save me more than £1.3k in interest. I’ve put a screenshot below because it still feels slightly made up, I genuinely never win anything and just stared at my phone when it happened!

Now I’m wondering whether the odds are actually better than I thought- maybe there's not many entries? Or whether this was just completely ridiculous luck. Has anyone else here won one of the bigger prizes, or do you know anyone who has? I'm wondering if I should be telling more of my friends about it if the odds are good!

Gambling is idiotic if you are trying to save money. The odds are set so that in the long term, you lose. Stop gambling and save instead.

It’s not gambling? It’s a legitimate app that uses vouchers to pay off small sums from your mortgage when you spend money.

That’s amazing!! Huge congrats. So to hear about others who’ve had good luck. I have wondered about how many active users there are on the app - I have a feeling the odds are actually much higher than I thought originally.

Spotting lots of Sprive users here! Has anyone found any particularly good cashback deals or hacks? I used it for Airbnb recently which was pretty hefty cashback, although I had to break it up into a few smaller gift cards. I’ve also spotted some of the theatre/holiday ones at around 15% which seems much better than the everyday ones. Wondering if there are any good ones I’m missing?

Restaurant ones can be pretty good and you can double up with other discounts (like blue light) if you have them.

Ahh I hadn’t even thought about stacking them! I don’t have Blue Light but I do have a student card – it must be similar with student discounts. Will definitely have a look at the restaurant ones and see which take pity on students, thank you!
