Looking for a lightweight baby carrier that doesn’t kill your back

I’ve been trying to find a good baby carrier lately that’s comfortable for both me and the baby. I’ve gone through a few over the years — some too bulky, some that felt fine at first but started hurting my back after ten minutes. This time around I really wanted something lightweight but still supportive, especially for those quick school runs or when the baby just refuses the pram.
A friend recommended Izmi, so I had a look, and honestly I wish I’d found them sooner. Their carriers seem really well thought-out — soft fabric, not overly structured, and easy to adjust even when you’re on your own. I ended up ordering the breathable version because I tend to overheat easily when carrying.
Also, just to mention in case it helps anyone else, I found a few good offers here: Izmi discount codes. It made the final price a bit easier to swallow, especially since baby gear adds up so quickly.
Has anyone else used Izmi carriers? I’d love to hear how you’ve found them for longer walks or travel days.

That sounds like a really thoughtful choice — finding a carrier that actually works for both you and the baby can be such a challenge. I haven’t used Izmi myself, but I totally get what you mean about some carriers feeling fine at first and then wrecking your back later. It’s good that you went for the breathable version too; overheating can make babywearing miserable. I’d also be curious how it holds up after a few months of regular use — sometimes comfort changes once the baby gets heavier.

I can definitely relate. Finding a baby carrier that balances comfort for both parent and baby is tricky — especially when you’re using it for longer periods or quick errands. It’s such a personal thing too, since what works for one person might not feel right for another. The weight distribution, fabric, and even how easy it is to adjust can make a big difference. It really does take some trial and error to find what fits your body and lifestyle best.

Totally agree — most carriers claim to be “ergonomic” but end up wrecking your back anyway.

I haven’t used the Izmi specifically, but I totally agree that the “lightweight but still supportive” balance is hard to find. Some of the bulkier carriers are great in theory, but if you’re overheating or your shoulders are screaming, you just don’t reach for them in real life.
If the breathable version feels comfy and easy to adjust, that’s already a big win. For me, the real test is always longer walks and whether the waistband actually carries the weight instead of my upper back. Once you’ve had a few outings with it, let us know how it holds up — I’m still hunting for something that doesn’t leave me aching by the end of the day too!

It’s so tricky finding that balance between comfort and not feeling like you’re wearing a full-on hiking pack! Would love to know how it holds up after longer walks once you’ve used it a bit more.

Yes, exactly this!
