I used my bank card and the balance showed as 0.00

The offer is for a completely free first box so that doesn't sound right it shouldn't charge anything at all, has it come out of your PayPal? I'd contact gousto if you aren't sure and if been charged get them to refund it

@Mysteryallergy I got a free box for delivery (fm someone on here) to be delivered in a few weeks as there were no choices left on earlier weeks.
Got email early morning 3rd August to say 'congrats you won't be charged so £0 for 1st box'.
I then got email later that afternoon saying 'sorry if you see a charge it's an issue with the app or something and please be assured you won't be charged as we're sorting this out' but as of today there is a charge of nearly £18 still showing on my account.

I'm not sure whether to just cancel and cut my losses or not as don't want to pay for trial box when it said it was free and I don't want the issues that come with trying to get my money back once they've already taken it.

Any advice as this is my 1st try at these meal deliveries?

this is an issue they’re trying to sort and they’ll honour the free box, I emailed them today about it, if you download the app and go through their help section you can speak to someone on chat (I just clicked on problem with my box)

I'd definitely contact them (on live chat if possible) and ask it be sorted. It sounds like they are having technical issues.
I haven't heard of them cancelling free boxes at all, other than that they cancelled the offer early.

My free box was cancelled "due to high demand" or similar wording. No shit Sherlock - you put out a free promotion, there's going to be high demand!

Now I have to go to the trouble of cancelling my subscription or through the rigmarole of ordering another box. No thanks, Gousto.

Seriously unimpressed and wouldn't ever think of subscribing again.

@A580Hojas Are they still honouring the free box if you order again? This cancelling boxes puts me off subscribing as well, they could have thought it through and only done a week of free boxes. It's obvious in the cost of living crisis that everyone is going to want free food!
