I have just accepted a new job starting in January which is 4 days a week, rather than full time. It is also a new industry which I need to work my way up in so quite a big pay drop. I’m going from £32000 to £19000.
Our childcare bill will stay pretty much the same as previously we used less nursery due to me working shifts and from January DC1 gets her free hours.
We have already decided to car share as the hours now work for us to do that saving around £40 a month on fuel and £80 a month on parking.
Any other easy suggestions for us? We aren’t particularly big spenders anyway but do enjoy meals out with the kids once or twice a month.
Would like to try to cut out another £150 ish to make sure we are on an even keel.
