Anyone know where the cheapest place to buy a gro-bag is? They all seem to be full price on mothercare/john lewis etc at between £25 and £30 - surely there is somewhere to get them cheaper than this? Any tips much appreciated/

I should have added that I want actual gro-bags - I know you can buy cheaper alternatives in some places.

TK Maxx sometimes have them for around £12-15 worth checking your local one out :)

Definitely Tk Maxx, ours always have them in, proper Gro Bags in a variety of colours. I always go to TK Maxx for presents when somebody has a baby, they have such nice things in.

BelieveInLife · 13/09/2010 18:23

Why do you specifically want gro-bags? I use alternatives, is there something wrong with them?

MrsJamin · 13/09/2010 18:50

I would question why you want a "gro-bag" specifically - there isn't anything better about them! I loved the Vertbaudet ones, and you can often get a really good deal if you apply voucher codes.

Thanks for the TK maxx tip. Went today and got one for £12.99. I now have three for 0-6 month size - do you think three is enough to keep you going or do you need more than that?

I knew people would come on and berate me for wanting a real grobag!! I am reliably informed that they are the best, plus they come with the FSIDS endorsement, so that's the brand I am going for.

3 is fine, I have 2 and its fine. You might want a different tog depending on season though. I would thoroughly recommend the 0.5 travel gro-bag - I have the 6-18 month one and it's done both my boys from 3-24 months so is a good investment to cover a few summers.

(BTW I would question your source for the 'grobag' is the best thing, sounds like expensive advice)

BelieveInLife · 13/09/2010 21:04

Just curious about why it's 'the best thing.' What exactly is different/better about them? I'm not being awkward, I'm just genuinely curious as i've used various alternatives for my 1 year old and not had any problems but obviously would like to know if there is something concrete safety wise to this.

trixymalixy · 13/09/2010 22:03

definitely tk maxx. i much prefer grobags as they last much better than other brands we have had, plus it's hard to find others that have the travel bit, which is a must imo.

Tarlia · 16/09/2010 13:35

Sorry off topic..

Can someone please tell me what's so different about the travel bit? Grobags are sleeveless, so why can't straps go on as normal? Confused

TIA

charleymouse · 16/09/2010 13:45

Bit of strap between legs would make it a tad uncomfy around the groin.

Tarlia · 16/09/2010 17:59

Erm Blush I hadn't even thought about that bit! Haha. Thank you :D

BooBooGlass · 16/09/2010 18:01

Agree TK MAxx. Avoid makes where there are poppers on the shoulders. Makes life very easy for the determined escapologist Grin
