4+ offers for UCS, Highgate, The Hall, Hereward House and St Anthony’s

DS has just received offers from all the schools he did play dates with.

now trying to decide between them, listed in initial preference, but now not so sure:

UCS a 4-18, through school and a short walk.

Highgate is the same and mixed, but a drive away, where our DD is at SHJS.

The Hall, Hereward and St Anthony’s mean that DS will need to do the 11+, which we want to avoid. But that does open up more options for secondary school.

All are great schools, with lovey teachers and happy children. Would love to hear thoughts, as we make a decision. Thank you in advance!

Why do you want to avoid your son sitting the 11+ in a few years time ?

Given that you do, surely you just have a choice of 2 ? UCS and Highgate

Does your daughter need to be driven to school ? Can you do a walk and a school drive / can you do 2 school drives ?

UCS looks like a no brainer to me.

I agree it’s between UCS & Highgate.
I’d prob go for the short walk option, unless there are very good reasons to prefer Highgate.. it seems a long time away, but I’d be glancing over GCSE subject choices - is there a clearer steer towards Arts/Sciencey subjects etc
any difference in extra-curricular choices and trips..?

Looking forward towards GCSEs and extra curricular activities if great advice, thanks.

We’ve seen how stressful the 11+ can be from family friends. But it does open up many more options for secondary.

We walk to school, so UCS would be ideal. Though we’ve also heard that boys do better in co-ed schools.

What did you go for, I would have gone for Highgate. Best school by far
