Sports scholarships

Hi all, I've name changed as my previous posts are quite identifying, but been here a long time. My son is in Y7 at a small private school on sports scholarship, and he would like to try to get a scholarship into a larger, sportier school for Y9. His key sports are rugby and cricket. We currently get no bursary, but if the school fees were higher than present, or he was to board, we would need one. He is dyslexic, but academically motivated, so needs a school that can support him. Can anyone recommend schools in the South of England which are sporty, supportive of dyslexia, and crucially, down to earth? Also, anyone that has done this route and would like to share advice on how to boost scholarship success, Im all ears. Didn't want to put too much detail in the post but he is in all the schools sports teams, playing up to the U13As, and plays for local clubs as well. TIA!

Sherborne. Good sport. Predominantly local (ish) kids rather than London money. Decent academics but not impossibly stellar.
Or Canford?
No idea about bursaries though.

It's tricky to get much money off for sports scholarships these days as most schools are moving to the means-tested bursary route for fees in general and giving the odd £100 for sports scholarships. Do PM me - lots of details to add to the schools mentioned above, but too much to write here!
