Saint Dunstan's college

Hi everyone,
We’re relocating to another country for family reasons, and as a result, our two children (aged 4 and 6) will be withdrawn from Saint Dunstan's College in Catford.
If you have children of a similar age and are considering this great school for September 2025, two spots will be opening up. I'm sharing this in case anyone is interested, as we had to submit our withdrawal notice outside the usual deadline due to a family emergency. Unfortunately, we are now required to pay the full term fees unless the places of our kids are taken by other families.
Please feel free to reach out if you're interested or have any questions.

Are you certain that’s how it works? It’s not usually like a rental contract where you’re off the hook as long as you can find a new tenant to take your place. You signed a contract that you owe the fees for the next term. Whether they fill your spot or not, you usually have to pay anyway.

@pinkdelight Indeed it does not work like the practice in rental contract yet all kinds of contracts protect both parties and not punish them. There are reasons that might lift your contractual obligations as it is in our case.

@Sor at my school that was the way Admissions explained it to parents as well - tbh we always did fill the space as we were oversubscribed. The issue is now it is only a month away from the start of term. Not undoable though. They will be looking to their vacancy list. I think you were wise to put it on here yourself too.
If the replacements are coming from state schools they are obviously easy to move to StDs quickly, it depends if they offer to people that are at an independent school and have the same situation of one full terms' notice. Good luck!
