St Faith’s School (Cambridge) for a Child with Possible ADHD/ASD – Experiences?

Hi everyone,
We’re considering St Faith’s for our son, who will be starting Year 3. He’s academically capable but not particularly academic at this stage, as his head is often full of other interests like sports, space, and games. He struggles with focus and likely needs repetition to learn, though he doesn’t have behavioural issues. We’re currently waiting for him to be assessed for ADHD and ASD.
We’d love to hear from parents with up-to-date insights on how St Faith’s supports children with these needs. Is the curriculum very fast-paced? Do teachers provide enough reinforcement and structure? He’s extremely active and loves sports, which is one of the reasons we’re drawn to the school.
The pastoral care seems strong, but is that really the case in practice? Does the school take a supportive and flexible approach with children who may need extra help staying focused?
He loved his assessment day, and we’re keen to make the right choice for him long-term. Any experiences or advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Hi- I have direct personal experience of this school and I would comment that this school is not brilliant at dealing with any child that is outside NT and cannot concentrate for long periods of time. The precision learning model is not inclusive however, if it suits your child’s method of learning then it works. There is limited support for those that cannot keep up. Pastoral care is mixed. Sport - they have a new head of sports - so that may be changing.

Thank you for your response. Would you say the curriculum is quite fast-paced or are there opportunities for repetition?

Landmark has a very good reputation for neurodivergent children if st faiths turns out not to be right.
