Do private schools offer Flexi-Schooling on a pro-rata basis?

Experienced 2 for my kids - both were cliquey and awful.. lots of gossip both staff and parents!! Not all, but most..

Some great learning opportunities but mostly all about money..

I'd prefer state school to flexi school.. I do wonder purely out of interest whether any private schools offer flexi schooling as an option?!

There is one near us that seems to have a great rep..

Do you mean flexi boarding where they only stay over a few nights a week then yes this is fairly common.

Or do you mean they only attend school part time and you expect a reduction of the fees? In this case no, I doubt any school will offer that. It is incredibly disruptive to have students in part time as they will miss the start/end of tasks frequently, friendship groups will be strained etc. Schools will help if there is a medical need for a reduced timetable but with a view to returning full time, there is no reduction of fees however.

Because each indy school is different (that's the whole point) you would have to approach them and ask. There are none in my local area who would offer flexi schooling but there may be some in other regions

As you say on a pro rata basis I assume you want them in school (for example) for 50.% of the time and pay 50% of the fees.

I imagine if you take up a place you would need to pay for all of it - they’re not going to find someone to use it for the 50% you don’t want.

I have never heard of this and can't imagine how it would work. It would be very disruptive for the full time kids and the 'flexi' kids would have no continuity and not know what was going on, having missed chunks of lessons!

If a school allows this I'd assume it was desperate for cash and unable to fill slots, and should therefore be avoided.

Flexi boarding yes (if they offer boarding at all). But how would flexi schooling work? I could possibly see it if taking one particular GCSE or A level type class, but how would that integrate schedule wise with their other school? Can't see it at all for younger years.

Dukes is offering Hybrid schooling through London Park Schools. Not the same product as flexi though.
