Is it reasonable to ask for my daughters levels at the end of yr1? I would like to help bring her on and do some work at home.Btw I do not want to challenge the teachers judgement or compare her to her peers.

that's a good leaflet feenie. had a look for similar things on the EYFS section as my DD is only 3, but couldn't find one. do you know of any?

I don't offhand - I bet mrz does though, she is much more of an Early Years expert than me.

For anyone else interested, there's a very good Year 6 one aswell with the same title, but Y6 instead of Y2 (obviously )

Can I recommend people don't get too hung up on levels at this age. My son has just come home with his y6 SATS levels, and has done amazingly well. We have ignored levels all the way through Primary, have worked consistently hard throughout school and it has paid off. If you discover your child is underachieving it could knock you for 6 and maybe you could put too much pressure on them, if they are exceeding 'average' expectations, they could become complacent.

Work hard with your children at home, make it fun, read bedtime stories, they will achieve to the best of their ability and everyone will be happy

Good luck to you all
