What the title says really!
I am not really all that good st this stuff but I want my dd to have a yearbook - so offered to make one for the school.
They are paying for paper and for it to be colour copied and my mum is donating the binding (she has one of those fancy things that do the ring thing)
My nieces school just did an A4 page each - but I am kind of stuck ALREADY on how to put a photo of each kid on a page and have areas around it for them to complete. Also, do I get them to fill it in by pen and scan it in? or can I get them to do it on a template on the 'puter? Can I use like a power point thingy?
very computer illiterate here

sorry - more helpful tips:

Do you mean you're making a blank one for the school so people can buy one if they want for their child or do you mean you'll make one completed for each child?

If the latter, then I would have teacher's comments, school trip photos and memories, kids' memories, stuff about what topics they did. Pics of their own class and teacher.
Stuff in the news at that time?

If it's a blank one, I'd do something in power point and print off and get school to copy pages. So there could be a section say, for fave teacher with a picture space? Or they could write in their fave lesson/school meal/best mates/funniest moment etc

Was any of that helpful or have I missed the point completely??

WE are doing this but have got a small group of mums together to work on it rather than just being left to one person.

Try putting a note out to each parent and invite them to chat about it over wine at your house/pub one evening soon. Bet there will be some takers and even if not much practical help comes out of it, there may be some useful ideas.

We asked all parents to send in photos of school events over the years (ideally by email but actual photos OK if you can scan them). WE also made sure that children who joined the class later have a photo of their first day at their previous school included in the yearbook alongside a photo of the class in reception.
All the photos are also going to be put on a disc (only the best few will be in the year book) and these will be given out with the book.

We have been given a donation of £5/head from the PTA (might be worth you approaching yours) towards this and the ned of term leavers BBQ.
