Which primary school to choose

Not sure if anyone can help with this. We are moving to a new village and I have a choice of two really good primary schools, Litton a small school where my daughter would know other children (from pre school) and I prefer but no children from the village we are moving to will attend at the moment or Longstone where the children of the village go, but is a bigger school where my daughter would not know anyone and would be my second preference. I'm not sure which is more important- to stay with her cohort in the village or go with my preference? Time is running out to sort and getting myself in a tangle with the decision! Any advice?

I'd go for the school that is most local to your new house.

Thanks. I know I should but feel the other school would suit her better. A s we don't yet live in the village it is hard to judge.

Small schools appear friendly and sweet but actually can limit the choice of friends. So don't dismiss a larger school!

Plus, saves tons of money if you can walk to school and not drive.

Yes, I agree. My daughter was really shy before pre school and always thought the small school would be better, but since pre school she has such confidence and makes friends really easily, which has made me waver between the schools. It's just wanting her to be happy really!
