Do you have M&S uniform trousers for your boy?

Do you find them really short in the bum?

DS's backside is forever hanging out of his trousers. It's becoming a bit of an issue. All his trousers come from M&S (cos it seemed easy) and I'm wondering if that's the problem.

The length is right, but even if he pulls them up so he complains they're uncomfortable, they only just cover his backside.

anyone else have the same problem?

Sounds like you need the 'sturdy boy' ones (not sure M&S do those though)

No problem with bobbling - but DS's seem to be HUGE around the waist.

Have replaced with a £4 pair from Asda with adjusters.

Must admit that I do prefer the supermarket stuff, they dont seem to tear as easily.

Never got the M&S ones, I buy Asda or Tesco and they last the whole school year.

I have yet to find polo shirts that still look good after a few weeks though!

my 5 year old has them and has also had next ones. bum hangs out of both. next ones both fell apart before christmas !!!

Mine both have m&s trousers dd has a size down because she's so skinny and ds has a size up and short fitting 'cause he's more "chunky".

Wash and wear beautifully, no bobbling and no bottom showing here.

I have only bought asda school trousers once and they looked like rags after 1 wash. I buy lots of other stuff from there though, but school trousers never again.

I have had DS1 at school for a while now (he's Y3) and DS2 is in Y1. The best combo of school uniform for each is : Sainsbury's trousers for DS1 (he has a bottom, and needs the 'extra material' to prevent 'crackage' ). DS2 on the other hand has no arse, straight up and down, and I find M&S trousers are best for him. On the subject of tops, it's pale blue polo's at their primary, and after MUCH trial and error, I can happily announce that Next polo shirts are such good quality that DS1's have been handed down to DS2, done DS2 and are now on DS1's step-brother...and STILL look like new! I will never buy polo's anywhere else. (and they're only £7.50 for 3, which sounds dear, but if they are good for 3 children, it works out quite cheap IYSWIM). Don't bother with Tesco's polo's, they fade and go mis-shapen after 3 washes, Asda's polo's are ok-ish if your DC's have a 'short, wide' top half - mine don't, they have a 'long, thin' top half, so they're useless. And they bobble. M&S polo tops come apart at the seams for some reason. So that's my round up - Trousers=Sainsbury's for boys with a bum, M&S for boys without, and polo tops=Next.

DS1 wears M&S trousers and they fit him lovely. He's tall and skinny.

DS2 who's more stocky wears his trousers permanently at half mast No amount of hoicking makes any difference.
