My dd is never normally has any problems with bowels - goes once a day after school.

Yesterday, and today she has had loose bowel movements - not quite diarrhoea. She is still going once a day. Slight tummy pains this morning.

I think it is caused by stress rather than infection. Tummy pains = butterflies I think. It is the school play today and tomorrow and she gets really anxious.

Eating and drinking well. What would you do about school. She is 7yrs old.

I came on here to shout emphatically "NO!" to you, but now I have read your post, I have to admit my ds3 had diarrhoea last week and still went to school. His was pretty explosive when it came, but he was only going once every 2 days, and was fine and eating well inbetween. I am a bit ashamed though at my double standards.

If I were you, I would just see how she is in the morning. It would be a shame for her to miss the play.

Sounds like nerves to me. I suffer exactly the same so send her to school.

assuming she is otherwise well and can get to the loo in good time then it's not really a tummy bug is it?

I would send her.

If she starts running to the loo regularly or having accidents then obviously dont send her. But at the moment YANBU
