Years 3 and 4 are not involved in a Christmas production

In our small local village primary, our Key stage 1 kids are doing a nativity performance and years 5 and 6 drama club are performing their own festive play. But the teachers have arranged nothing for years 3 and 4.

Is it just me or is that a bit crappola?

Thanks for your feedback everyone.

DD doesn't seem too bothered by the lack of thespian activity for her year group, so I've chilled on it

My kids are at a school with 420 pupils. Reception do a nativity (60 kids), Yr 1(90) and Yr2 (60) do a play, Yr 3 (30) YR4 (60) and Yr5 (60) are doing a carol concert, and Yr6 (60)are doing a Victorian Christmas Music Hall (whatever that is, not got any in Yr6!). It's a bit different from last year, but the school has always done something at Christmas for every year group.

I think it's a bit crap, to be honest (and I wonder if it's the same school, because the circumstances sound eerily similar). Anyway, my dd is in yr 2 and is involved in a play but I know a number of the yr 3 and 4 parents and they are a bit . It's the first time it has happened and i hope it won't happen next year as well, because I'd miss it. I think it's lovely that they all get to do a little something at this time of year. ( Mind you, my dd is a bit of an attention seeker, might feel differently if she was dreading it)

At ours, all 180 KS1 children are in the Nativity! All on stage at the same time, doing a full-on original musical production. Tis fab, and the teachers/TAs do a wonderful job (although I have realised that they recycle the shows every 3 years!)

DS1 is now in KS2 and rather disappointed that there is only a carol concert for KS2 this year, rather than the usual musical (Oliver!, Joseph's Technicolour Dreamcoat etc) due to building works.

Every year group does something for Christmas in DD's school.

Each year group's play is on a different day, if you have multiple children you get "nativity fatigue"
