Have to send DS in with a voluntary contribution to put a coin in a treasure chest (they are dressing up as pirates) and not sure how much to give him.

It's a whopping quid round these parts.

SausageRocket · 20/11/2009 12:22

£1 here too (both primary & secondary)

MollieO · 20/11/2009 12:23

Minimum £1 here and more welcom (Home Counties).

sunshineonarainyday · 20/11/2009 12:25

£1 here (North West)

FimbleHobbs · 20/11/2009 13:02

Nothing officially stated here (Midlands) - I sent DD to nursery with £1 and the same for DS in infants.

Hulababy · 20/11/2009 14:17

£1 is the suggested donation at DD's school and the infant school I work at.

choccyp1g · 20/11/2009 14:42

Minimum 20p at DS school, though he decided to take a pound, which I "matched" to make £2.
Next week though, wehave another one, where you have to take a bottle, most people take wine, at about £4

bigTillyMint · 20/11/2009 14:46

50p here in London

nappyaddict · 20/11/2009 14:52

pheeeeeeeeew I sent him with 50p before checking back on this thread and then felt sooooooo guilty when everyone else said it was £1.

50p??? I have been robbed, I gave dd1 two quid to go in her PJ's today!!!

The school give no set amount but dd1 insisted that her friends had told her they were taking £2, I checked this with one of the mums.

Having said that, if I know dd1 she will donate a pound and keep one for herself

henryhuggins · 20/11/2009 14:55

we ask for a donation to santa's grotto (xmas fair) or a bottle (summer fair)
