Hello - does anyone know anyone who goes to The Mount School in Mill Hill or South Hampstead High? I hear good things about both but would appreciate some insider knowledge. I have considered both these choices for my DD in 2011 as well as Coldfall which we are in the catchment for. I'm also trying to find out a bit more about the assessment interviews. Thanks

Re your comment about Channing being snobby:
I have no direct experience of Fairseat (the junior school) but we do have a daughter in the senior school and I can honestly say that I have detected no snobbishness at all. Just the usual mix of North London professionals. Some girls from state schools and some on bursaries but obviously parents in general better off financially than in the North London state schools - but I can't see that the mix would be any different than it is at NLCS or SHHS.
Have heard very nice things about Fairseat from parents whose daughters have moved on from the senior school and I must say that the girls all look very sweet.
Agree St. Christophers also has a phenomenal reputation. Have also heard good things about Trevor Roberts, which is co-ed.

Hi, was wondering if anybody will see this. I am writing about south hampstead high school so you may be able to shed some light. i went to their open day recently but didn't ask specifically about the reception class. i want to know if they have any specialist classes ie. music/language/PE and how much time do they spend in/out of their classroom (i didn't think it was big enough for so many children). Does anybody on this thread know? Thanks in advance! x
