DS2 is going to take in a car he made from a kit. It took him ages (we had to do it in several sessions while waiting for glue to dry etc) and he is really proud of it.

The other week he took in his holiday diary, also he might take in a ticket to a show or football match he had seen, or some craft he has done.

Kids take in colourings or books they like or maps of the theme park they visited - all sorts really.

LOL @ pagwatch's DD.

dilemma how about a rocket she has made (easy enough). Or pic of her on a rollercoaster; pic of a robin she saw in the garden (actually DS2 has a fluffy robin that sings); or oooh easy for us, DS2 pic of himself as a mascot for Rotherham! (his footie team but not much help to you )

DD2 has to give a presentation on a memorable holiday or outing tomorrow. She has chosen to take the toy boat which she acquired when we went sailing last year. I fear she might be planning to tell everybody how mummy got cross and told daddy he was a bloody idiot because he put the boat into reverse when he should have gone forward.
It was her favourite bit of the holiday.
I am a Brown Owl and our Brownies bring in all sorts of stuff for Pow Wow. I think the random stuff really is the best. I love it when someone brings in their favourite oddly shaped rock and passes it round and all the others secretly covet it.

DD1 has "shown and told" all about the dangly keyrings on her book bag at least two or three times, now!

No competition here, though. The teachers only started doing it because they got so sick of kids bringing random objects in to waste time with show everyone, that they decided to make it a defined slot, where everyone got a turn - but not every single day!!

Dh climbed a wall near the school the other day to reach some conkers for the dcs show and tell. They can't take toys in and most of our good stuff is packed for house move.
I prefer it when it's themed really so at least we have something to focus on.

My DD just started in Reception takes in her Little Pets or dolls and their clothes, and sometimes a book or picture.

My Ds who is yr 2 has GDD, MLD and autism would 99% of the time take a car in as that is fav toy, i think once or twice he took a book in and the class clapped him and teacher was so shocked she had to sit down.

I don't really care what they take in, so long as they enjoy taking in and talking about.
