Name Labels - are there any companies that you reccomend ?

As a bit of a fundraiser (but mainly to encourage people to name their kids uniform), we want to team up with a company and send out Name Label leaflets to our parents this summer. There seems to be loads of companies out there all offering similar products & a similar amount of commission, so I thought I would see if any of you experienced labellers could let me know of any particulary good or bad companies. I don't have a clue, as I tend to just use marker pens to label my kids stuff!

Easy2Name - I've had their labels for years. I like the iron in ones that are more like a sticker as ds1 has issues with labels in clothes.

Also have their shoe labels and their iron on transfer labels for socks and the like. I believe lots of other MNetters use them.

Friend of mine gave me a present of these when son was born ready for when he went to nursery, Very pplesed with them and she uses them all the time!

I think DD2's were from Easy2Name too. The iron ones are fab. Almost impossible to remove which did make it tricky to pass onto a friend! It left a white layer beind but at least they stayed on which is the main thing.

I like Cash's.

Used them for years and never had a problem with them.

LemonTea · 17/05/2009 12:39

I like Label Planet. They stay on really well and have a good range of sizes.

I use www.labels4kids.com I can particularly recommend the ones for shoes and the luggage label type ones that are great for lunch boxes, school bags etc. The stickers are great and do stay on tubs, drinks bottles etc even after washing.

I've used easy2name and I'm not impressed. Some of the iron on labels really stick, others come off quite soon. I also think my son's ones may have gone off or something because the last few times I've tried to iron them on, they've just kind of shrivelled up.

I'm thinking of getting sew-in ones instead.

savoycabbage · 18/05/2009 09:33

I like Cashs too. And I like Mooo

LevantineLass · 18/05/2009 20:54

I love the stickers at www.stuckonyou.biz - they stick to everything non-fabric and don't come off. Very good for lunchboxes etc.

Yurtgirl · 18/05/2009 20:58

Taggits

I know this isnt quite what you are after but I read about these on another mumsnet thread and think they deserve even more publicity because they look ace!

Chinwag · 18/05/2009 21:02

I like this:

www.mynametags.com/mynametags.com/

My DD's like it because you can choose your own image to go next the the name. They come as iron on stickers, and stickers to label lunch boxes etc.

mumoverseas · 19/05/2009 08:23

Cashs have also used for years (around 15) with no problems

ChippyMinton · 19/05/2009 15:39

cashs for woven labels simplystuck have excellent shoe labels

and i second Yurtgirl's Taggits suggestion, having just labelled a huge pile of Scout camp kit in record time. I wouldn't use them in clothes next to the skin but for towels, bags, coats etc they are very quick and easy.
