Nursery / Primary Schools in Acton West London?

Does anyone have any recommendations for Nursery/ Primary schools in Acton.
Am having a bit of a panic about local schools because the Ofsteds and such are all so confusing. My DD is going to be 2 and on the ealing.gov website it says you can register your interest at this point.
Just want to know what people think are the best ones to put her name down for.
Any guidence would be greatly appreciated.

Don't be misled - registering an interest has no impact on school application and won't influence if you get in - they don't do it on first come first served, it's on entry criteria. For reception there's a window in which to apply - between say September and beginning December - for the following September, and you'll hear by beginning of April. I think the same is true now for nursery in Ealing too, it used to be first come first served but now seems to be on the same entry criteria as for reception. Hope that helps - no need to panic yet........... unless you want to move into position ready for the school of your choice!!

Thanks for that. Just interested really in getting afeel for what schools people would recommend in the area before I even see if we stand any chance of getting DD in.

You can put your name down earlier for nurseries. Some schools will take your nursery application whatever the child's age and some you have to be 2. Schools set their own criteria for nursery entry and do it themselves.

Ring up you nearest school and ask to have a look around. They can give you proespectuses and nursery application forms.

3 years is a long time in education though. How schools actually are (and their reputations) can change very quickly.
