while considering a village school, also considering steiner education for early years as it really focuses on the outdoors and celebrates the magic of festivals etc..

would then consider transferring at about age 7 to a mainstream school...

any thoughts on steiner early years???

thanks

MANATEE- spot on.

What is amusing is the cry that it's the parents responsibility to "find out about Steiner's beliefs" before we enrol our children... ( because the schools sure as hell aren't going to tell you).

When we do find out, and that some of his beliefs and teachings are less than charming, the Steiner people castigate and hound us for doing so.

The long thread which has just ended showed consistantly repeat problems, and more importantly some very serious issues- MANATEE's story and Maimune's particularly worrying.

Why Tizian is obsessed with Northern god only knows...

I'm not a celebrity and never wished to be though... just want the schools to be honest, to examine Steiner's teaching on race, karma etc, and stop pretending this stuff isn't there.

Funny though- those old threads linked to still have negative experiences....so do plenty of other old mumsnet threads which Tizian didn't link to. From years ago.

These things are being discussed all over the world, similar stories, and have been for years.
