How to say "Thank You"

My DS has had several problems since starting school and it appears may either be on the autistic spectrum somewhere - or more likely sensory integration delay.

Anyway - whatever he has it has been noted and supported at his school. Since he started there they have assessed him and put in one to one support (currently at 15 hours a week) and are applying for a Statement. They have put all this extra work in out of their budget and have been just wonderful. DS is now in Year 1 and is beginning to settle down - his reading has improved massively and so has his concentration. The one to one worker he has is fantastic with him and says she loves being with him.

All this has got me to thinking about how I can say a big Thank You to the school and the wonderful teaching staff and TA's who support DS so well. I really want to do it before the end of the summer term as I usually send a card and a little something in then anyhow.

I am happy to write a long letter telling the head how fantastic I think the school have been. Can I also copy in people like OFSTED? Good practice really needs highlighting and the school have been so brilliant in supporting DS.

Any teachers here? What would you advise?

I don't think Ofsted will want to know unless they are inspecting the school. You could copy a letter to the Governors, the LEA and the local paper. Nice to read someone has appreciated the service their school has provided.

I'm not a teacher, but think DumbledoresGirl's suggestion is good - copy letter to paper and Governors. Its lovely that you want to do something to thank them, I'm sure it'll be much appreciated!
