Please tell me what your dc's school allows in the playground...

I mean by way of violence, rough and tumble, etc.

I know of some schools near here who put a note in the child's bag if they throw a snowball ,and others who use only a verbal reprimand for punching.

TIA

Depends on the school and their own 'standards'. I think any adult would know what is acceptable behavior in terms of rough and tumble. I volunteer at a local school where throwing a snowball would not get a child into big trouble. However, kicking, punching etc would probably get them a sad face to take home.

There are always going to be some children (usually boys, and I know 'cause I've got two!!) who play rougher than others. The staff will know who they are and will hopefully keep an eye on them.

Why do you ask?

Ours won't allow snowball throwing or playfighting, as playfighting very often leads to fighting, ime.

Ds is in reception and they often play fight [have seen him myself when collecting dds] the teachers dont seem too concerned but will pull them up if it seems more than play obviously
