Well if namechange is a friend of yours she hasn't done you any favours answering questions for you. from this thread it really looks like you are namechange..

hugh - if it is genuinely not you then why not ask MN to delete this thread and start agian.

The way namechange relies "Only Reading, not far" to miss hardbrooms question honestly looks like you have replied and forgotten you had namechanged.

Don't want you to get flamed if you are innocent.

Just a thought.

mehgalegs · 08/10/2008 22:04

replies sorry, not relies.

No, It is possible... I know people who go to Stratton schools out of catchment, but Covingham is two catchments away (Coleview is in between Stratton and Covingham).

A lot of people here tend to send their children to the local schools, but the good ones are often oversubscribed, especially at secondary level. A 'good' secondary will have the 5 A-C pass rates in the 50% mark, the not so good schools are in the 30% mark, so the not so good schools are really not that good at all, iyswim! In fact they are pretty dire.

That said, it is possible!

My dh works dorcan way but we live in West Swindon and I have a ds in a school I consider good. I too moved here knowing nothing about schools but I am very happy with where he is. I also have friends with children in 4 other West Swindon schools and we are all happy with the choices we made, afraid I don't know much about schools out of this area
