3 mean please?

2 is the lowest and then 2a etc to 3.

dont really know what they all mean, and depends on the age of the child.,

actually not sure now, if 2c is higher than 2a - sorry!

2B is an average end of Yr2 result.

2b is supposed to be the national average at the end of KS1 - depends on the school though, there seem to be lots of 3's around this year!

2c is higher than 2a. so, in order of lower to higher, they are 2, 2a, 2b, 2c, 3

3 is higher than 2a is higher than 2b is higher than 2c I think.

i am not sure where a straigh 2 comes in.

In any case it iis the school and teachers that are being jusdged and not your DC...so all irrelevant IMO...don't know why they publush them to parents.

It goes 2c, 2b, 2a then 3. A level 3 is above average for a Y2 child. A 2A is pretty high too. 2B, 2C is about average. (nationally)

No Amandella, a 2A is higher than a 2C. It goes the other way around

oh shoot sorry guys... thought I was being helpful when in fact i was being dumb!! In fact, that means my dd did better than I thought in her SATS then!!!

2b is the average expected at the end of Y2.

2c is working slightly below average.

2a is working slightly above average.

3 is consistanly working at a level above that expected of an 'average' Y2 child.

In reading, writing and Maths, sub-levels (2c/2b/2a) have to be reported for level 2. A level 1 or a 3 does not have to be so specific.

In Science and Speaking and Listening, only a broad 1, 2 or 3 has to be reported, no sublevels.
