Does one HAVE to go to school sports day?

It falls on a day I'm working and I don't really want to take a days holiday TBH. Would it be terrible not to go?

DSs' school is non-competitive sports day. I am DELIBERATELY not going. Waste of everyone's time. There literally is no point to it.
