School Fete this afternoon. Kids excited. I want to run away and scream.

Don't know what's wrong with me this week. Feeling more and more antisocial as it's has gone on and now it's fete day and I have to go smile and make small talk and all that... frankly I'd rather stick needles in my eyes.

I want to hide out in a hermit cave (with wifi) for a couple of days to recuperate.

Someone give me a good shake and tell me how much I shall enjoy it anyway and what a good cause it all is.

when you make cakes what do you put the cake in before taking it to the cake stall?

That's the important bit.

Eldest son is dead chuffed he won a coconut, and both kids have a nice collection of assorted plastic tat. Even better, we arrived too "late" (honest guv) for me to cook so Daddy is bringing home takeaway. Yay!

I may just get that darkened room and glass of wine yet...

I make a loaf cake, posie, so it just stays in the paper liner I used then slid into a freezer bag and sealed.

One thing I was quite impressed at - they'd got an icecream van to park on the premises. Previous years they'd done icecreams themselves which I think is pretty hard work for the volunteers. I guess they just get a cut from the van man.
