Hi everyone :) super new to Mumsnet…

We are looking at a few prep schools around SE post code for Reception and would love some insight from other parents.

Has anyone considered or chosen Fidelis Prep for Reception start? We are drawn to the small class sizes and the care and attention to each child but would love to hear any parent perspectives.

Thank you.

Amber

Hi Amber,

We absolutely love it! My son started this year and he loves going to school. His favourite part is going to the forest on Thursdays and exploring outside. They also have an outdoor learning area where they get to do a lot of different activities. We just moved to the UK, and my favourite part so far has been the amazing community, the school feels like part of a family. Hope this helps in your decision and hope to see you next year. Let me know if you have any questions.

Fidelis is the best school you could imagine!

We couldn’t be happier with the school our children attend. The sense of community is wonderful – welcoming and genuinely caring.

The pastoral care is very important for us, and it is outstanding. Teachers and staff truly know and understand each child as an individual.
We especially value the personalised approach to learning, where the curriculum is tailored to meet each pupil’s needs and strengths. Our children feel supported, confident, and happy, and we’ve seen them grow both academically and emotionally.

We’re very grateful to be part of such a positive and nurturing school environment.

Hi, I have got 2 kids there and I am very happy with the school. It is amazing especially for small kids that can be overwhelmed with big classes. The approach to studying is very tailoredk. It is not difficult with small classes. Teachers are very good, warm and friendly. Very open to parent’s opinions. There is a secondary school next door so in older classes they benefit from their facilities (science lab) and teachers (maths science). Children at breaks play across different age groups, everyone knows everyone. It is very nice community of families. Many with catholic background but not all of them. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Just to add to all the feedback already….

My daughter just started reception this year and can already read after just 1 term!

They have small class sizes and the head knows the names of all the children. The community is amazing very family oriented and a huge focus on character development.

Any questions please ask!
