Question about how Numbots certificates are awarded

I’m hoping for a bit of advice because I really don’t want to come across as that mum who questions a teacher unnecessarily. My child is desperate to win the weekly Numbots certificate for the most time spent on the app. They absolutely love Maths and usually do around an hour a week, but they keep missing out.

There’s another child in the class with the same first name and initial, and that child seems to win almost every week. It might just be that they’re putting in more time, but I’m starting to wonder if my child’s efforts aren’t being recognised. My child has a double-barrelled surname and is known in class with both initials, but the certificates only ever show one. For example, let’s say their name is “Riley F”—that’s a made-up example, but it shows the issue. If the app only displays one initial too, I’m worried there could be a mix-up.

Does anyone know how teachers usually check who’s earned the certificate? I’m not looking to complain — I just want to make sure my child isn’t being overlooked, as they’re heartbroken each week when they miss out.

It's an automatic thing.

How does her name show up on the app? Riley F or Riley FT?

An hour a week probably isn't the most. It's the sort of thing some kids get obsessed with and spend many hours on. An hour is a sensible amount of time though. I don't like the "most time" certificates because you end up rewarding them for being addicted!

I dont use numbots but I use tt rockstars which follows on and is the same company.
You only see name and initial but teachers see the whole name and when I generate certificates it says the child's whole name.

Just wanted to update this as I got quite stressed about it, I am so that mum. I questioned the teacher about it in parents' evening as gently as I could, and when she looked into it, it turned out that the certificate was being awarded to the wrong child, and my child was the one who had been winning the certificate every week. My child was very happy to get their certificate. The teacher apologised to them, so it worked out in the end.
